It’s Been a Minute

It’s been a minute (that’s Southern for a while) since I posted, and a lot of life has happened since 2019. I have more gray hair and wrinkles, but I’d like to think I am wiser. I guess time will tell. I’ve missed writing and have said for years, “I need to get back to this thing that is life giving.” I don’t know about you, but the pandemic, and work and family struggles have sucked a lot of life out of me. Just like with a pitcher of water, if you don’t refill it, you can’t keep pouring out water because it will run dry. So today is the day and admittedly I am out of practice, but I believe God will give me the words and images for this journey.

At the end of Matthew’s gospel, Jesus gives the disciples the Great Commission: “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” And then he added, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Today, as I begin to write again, Jesus is with me. Jesus is with you. Come along and let’s see where he takes us.

Beautiful! I think many of us can relate to feeling like life has been on hold and overwhelming-simultaneously, for the last few years. Excited to read this weekly blog as we journey along . I know it will enhance my own faith so thanks in advance for sharing. If I didn’t believe Jesus was with me and all of us to the very end of age, I’m not sure what or how any of us would cope.

I agree! Knowing Jesus is with me is all that gets me through sometimes. Blessings!
